Prayer Times — Privacy Policy

Prayer Times (“App”) is developed by firatkocabay@gmail.com. The app contains no ads, analytics tracking, accounts, or in-app purchases.

Data Stored on Device

• Location: Prayer times and qibla (GPS or manual city).
• Settings: Calculation method, madhhab, theme, notifications, language.
• Reading progress: Library and Quran bookmarks.
• Debt records (optional): Text, photos, videos — device only.
• Zakat / inheritance / wasiyyah saves (optional): Calculation inputs and result summary — device only; optional encrypted vault.

This data is not sent to developer servers or sold for advertising.

Permissions

• Location: Prayer times and qibla while in use.
• Notifications: Prayer and optional content reminders.
• Photo library: Save verse/hadith images (with consent).
• Camera: Debt module documents (with consent).
• Microphone (iOS): Debt module video; Android records silent video.

Third-Party Services (Optional Network)

• Open-Meteo — weather (coordinates only).
• ezanvakti.imsakiyem.com — optional Turkey live prayer updates.
• everyayah.com — Quran audio download when you play recitation.
• finans.truncgil.com / api.frankfurter.app and fallback rate APIs — optional exchange/metal rates in debt, zakat, and inheritance calculators.
• CDN / GitHub Pages — signed update packages (prayer data, language packs).
• Translation services (optional) — when you download library or UI language packs, English text snippets may be sent over HTTPS in order to free endpoints: Google Translate (gtx/at), Lingva mirrors, MyMemory. No personal identity is sent; only in-app content strings are translated.

No personal identity (name, phone, email) is sent to these services.

Ads, Analytics, and Purchases

The app contains no ads, third-party analytics SDKs, user tracking (ATT/IDFA), accounts, or in-app purchases. It is free.

Android — Sensitive Permissions

Exact alarm permission is requested only so prayer reminders fire on time, as declared in Play Console. Microphone permission is blocked on Android; debt module videos are recorded without audio.

Notifications

Prayer, debt due-date, and optional daily content reminders are scheduled locally on your device. If you deny permission, no notifications are sent.

Quran Recitation Audio

Audio files are downloaded from everyayah.com when you start playback and cached on your device. Background audio may be used for listening with the screen off.

Data Retention

Data is stored in AsyncStorage and app files. Uninstalling removes device data.

Debt Module Disclaimer

The debt module is a personal on-device record tool with no backend. It does not replace legal contracts or advice. The developer is not a party to your debt relationships; you bear full responsibility for accuracy, validity, and outcomes.

Zakat, Inheritance & Wasiyyah — Disclaimer

The zakat, inheritance share, and wasiyyah (bequest) calculators provide automated estimates for information only; they are not official fatwa, legal, notarial, or financial advisory services. Results are not guaranteed. The developer is not a party to zakat collection, estate distribution, bequest execution, or tax filing.

• Zakat: Nisab and zakat amounts are estimated along general Hanafi guidelines from your asset inputs. Gold/silver rates, debt offsets, hawl (lunar year), and madhhab differences may affect outcomes; manual rates may be required when live rates are unavailable.
• Inheritance: Fixed shares (fara'id) are computed from estate and heir inputs. Awl, radd, blocking (hajb), complex family structures, and property valuation may not be fully captured automatically.
• Wasiyyah: The bequest tab is for drafts to non-heirs only and must not exceed one-third of the estate under Hanafi guidelines. Consult a notary and qualified scholar for binding wills.
• Saves & PDF: Saved calculations and PDF exports are personal notes only; optional encrypted vault stays on your device. They are not official documents, court evidence, or binding distribution records.

For doubt, disputes, or special cases, consult Diyanet, a qualified scholar, notary, or lawyer. By using these tools you accept that all responsibility remains with you.

Changes

Material changes will be announced on this page and in the app.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
